NAPA-2 is a 6U Earth observation satellite equipped with the Simera Sense MultiScape 100CIS, a 7-band multi-spectral line-scan imager. Working with Pinkmatter Solutions, it delivers high-quality multi-spectral images with an impressive 5m ground sampling distance. Since its launch and deployment in July 2021, NAPA-2 has captured thousands of images, providing valuable data on spacecraft attitude, control, and timing.

The mission successfully demonstrated ISISPACE’s newly developed Attitude and Orbital Control System, which ensured precise image acquisition. Images were taken under various conditions, including simple flyovers, target pointing, and advanced forward-motion compensation maneuvers. One maneuver even reduced ground speed by 50 times, improving imaging stability. With the rising demand for hyper-spectral imaging from CubeSats, the insights gained from NAPA-2 help educate future customers on the expected optical performance of similar missions.
